Some of you know me. Over 15 years ago, during the peak of the game, I led the most epic team in any game I have ever seen since. I could only have 50 in my team, so... I made, "sister" clans. At our peak
.. we owned 21 of the top 20 spots +. In effect... we broke the game's natural ceiling, and hunted hackers. We had the ultimate kingdom, with jumpers, empire builders, fighter/builders... we actually RAISED interest in the game.
But... we were corrupted, within. A team who joined us late, hated the jumper group that we promoted, and even enlisted bored empire builders towards. Like I said... we RAISED interest, because I sent ppl goals, targeted towards how they liked to play.
I have taken the role of, "leader" in a few games since... all reaching #1 or #2. But nothing as epic as my first... here... with Backyard Monsters.
Now the fun part... the success encouraged me to take a big career leap, and work for myself. My first year was epic. I jumped directly into the 6-figure range (after starting my career at $24,000). I am now one of the fastest, and THE most accurate Architectural Designer in the country. If you work in the industry... you might know who I am. Please keep my identity anonymous. Although honest, my bragging is not something I normally do. Humbility reaps lifetime rewards that are worth the journey.
But the point is... well... first, thank you, BACKYARD MONSTERS!!! The 3 years I played introduced me to many friends I tried to keep... but eventually lost when I gave-up Facebook, several years ago. Benin I miss the most. We talked strategy so well, our transcripts would be (arguably) worthy of the title, "The Art of War 2." Him and I built the biggest empire I ever saw in a game... and we never, "met"... living half a world apart.
I hope him, and all my other leaders, generals, and players have also done well. I think of you often, and have the memories of some of the best game battles in my history of gaming with you.
Thank you.
Sofa King.
